15000

Today I reached 15,000 names in my genealogy file. :) yay!!! I know it is not impressive by some standards, buy I have hand-keyed each one of those names, and I am kind of proud of it. So, to commemorate my achievement, here are 15 people. Also listed is how we are ALL related to them.

#1,000: Charles Ellis Johnson born 21 Mar 1857 in St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri. Died 21 Feb 1926 in San Jose, Santa Clara, California. He is my Half 3rd Great Grand-Uncle on Jennie Hawkins' line. (Say that three times fast) He is Tim's half 29th cousin, and Fielding's 1st cousin 5 times removed.

#2,000: Elizabeth. That is all the information I currently have on her. She is my 9th Great-Grandmother on Benjamin Elias Palmer's line. She is also Fielding's 9th Great-Grandmother.

#3,000: Halfilda Princess of the Rugij born about 106 a.d. She is my 59th Great-Grandmother on Azariah Brown's line. She is Tim's 59th Great-Grandmother and Fielding's 64th Great-Grandmother.

#4,000: Kent Fielding Adams born 14 Oct 1986 in Monticello, San Juan, Utah. He is my 3rd cousin on Benjamin Palmer's line. He is Tim's Half 29th cousin 5 times removed, He is Maggie's Half 5th cousin, and he is Ronnie's Half 10th cousin.

#5,000: Sharon May Fackrell born 26 Apr 1942 in Evanston, Wyoming. Died on 24 Aug 1987. She is the wife of my 2nd cousin once removed on Sarah Jane Guymon's line. She is the wife of Fielding's half 2nd cousin twice removed.

#6,000: Dominic Brake. That is all the information I currently have. He is the husband of my Half 1st cousin twice removed on Benjamin Palmer's line. He is the husband of Maggie's half 3rd cousin twice removed, He is the husband of Ronnie's half 8th cousin twice removed, He is the husband of Fielding's half 1st cousin twice removed.

#7,000: Richard Robins. That is all the information I currently have. There is actually no relationship that I currently know of between us. He is one of those people who got entered when I was entering genealogy from the Blanding Centennial Books.

#8,000: Margaret Horne Clayton died on 14 Mar 1983. She is also not related to me in any way. Also from Blanding Centennial Books.

#9,000: Lucinda Kent born on 11 Aug 1785 in Dorset, Bennington, Vermont. Died on 20 Jul 1869 in Burlington, Fltn, Ohio. She is not related to me in any way. She is Tyler's 4th Great-Grandmother.

#10,000: Max Lee Reber. That is all the information I currently have. He is the husband of my half 3rd cousin twice removed on Benjamin Palmer's line. He is the husband of Maggie's 1st cousin twice removed, He is the husband of Fielding's half 3rd cousin twice removed.

#11,000: Nellie Florence Guymon born on 13 Nov 2876 in Fountain Green, Sanpete, Utah. Died on 9 Mar 1941 in Denver, Denver, Colorado. She is my 1st cousin 3 times removed on Sarah Jane Guymon's line.

#12,000: Lisania Fuller. That is all the information I currently have. She is not related to me in any way. Her daughter married into the Knight family, and that is how she ended up in my file.

#13,000: Alexander White born in 1550 in Sturton, Le Steeple, Lincolnshire, England. Died on 6 May 1596 in Sturton, Le Steeple, Lincolnshire, England. He is my 11th Great-Grandfather on Elizabeth Wilcox's line. He is Fielding's 12th Great-Grandfather.

#14,000: Jane or Johane born in about 1529. She is my 13th Great-Grandmother on Azariah Brown's line.

#15,000: Thomas Dewey born in 1577. He is not related to me in any way. He is Tim's 11th Great-Grandfather.

So, probably not the most exciting post ever, but it was what was on my mind today.

Last Weekend

The line for the grub. Blanding 8th Ward Relief Society prepared enough food to feed over 200 people. Thumbs up to them, it was wonderful!!!
Miss Arianna came to enjoy the food with us. Also got her to voluntarily come to me for the first time, and even got hugs and kisses.

I decided I am going to get all my pictures with Trish from now on. I think I always look cuter in the pictures she's in with me. Course, she looks pretty cute in the pictures with me too!

Shop 'till you Drop

So, I overdid myself again yesterday. We went shopping for Grandma Brown's funeral yesterday. (We being, me, Tim, Trish & the kids.) It seems like when we usually go shopping we can't find anything. Yesterday was not one of those days. We had SUCCESS!!!! We got Tim his very 1st suit, which looks wonderful on him. We also got Xavier a suit, he is such a little man. Lexi and I both got new dresses, and Trish tried on three dresses.......and bought three dresses which all look wonderful on her. Sexy chick-a!!! So, we might be sad this weekend, but at least we will all look fabulous! (Oh, and thank you JC Penney for having awesome sales this week!)

Grandma

01.03.1918 - 03.07.2011

Grandma was born a Capricorn, just like me. They say people born under this sign are stubborn, and I think I have to agree with them. There were many times in the past few years when we thought Grandma was going to die soon. But she didn't. This weekend when I went to Blanding we kept thinking it was her last moment, but it wasn't. Grandma did not leave this earth until she was good and ready. She was a fighter until the very end. I have been remembering lots of times I had with her in my lifetime, and I will miss her very much. When I first got the call last Friday that she was dying, the memory that came to mind and has stayed there was when I was about three years old. I remember walking up the hill from the trailer to Grandma's. I was walking along the pink roses and touching them with my hand. Grandma was out on her carport, and she said, "Tiffy, come eat breakfast with me and Grandpa." I got very excited and ran up the hill and hugged her around the legs. The early memories I have of her and Grandpa are what have been in my mind this week.

I was not able to give Grandma a Johnny-Jump-Up when I was there, so this one is for her instead. Anyone who knows us, knows I always had one for her. I love you Grandma, and will miss you in my life. Love, Tiffy

Baby Blues

That is what I expected to happen after my surgery. I expected to be feeling blue. What I didn't expect was how relieved I feel. I am sad not to meet the children me and Tim might have had. However, it is so nice to have finally made a decision, and now we can get on with the life we are going to have. I have noticed myself appreciating the two wonderful children we do have even more. I am much more excited about planning things for them, and us, to do together.

Ready, Set, Zombie!

That is what I just heard Xavier say to Lexi as they are learning how to play Uncle Sean's RPG game Crux. I have mixed feelings about the kids getting into RPG's. Part of me screams NOOOO!!! while the other part of me is happy that they are enjoying themselves, especially since they are both doing the same thing at the same time. Plus I love that they are using their imaginations. Though I think I will have to draw the line if they ask to start wearing capes. :)
